My passions are painting, music, and nature (particularly herpetology) and I occasionally contribute information on these subjects to Wikipedia. I like writing in depth and sticking to subjects that I know. I am an avid nature photographer and sometimes contribute images to Wikimedia Commons to illustrate articles, although I'm not inclined to give my very best to the public domain (
Category:Photographs and images by William L. Farr). I occasionally make original maps or graphics as well. I was born in Houston, Texas in 1958, and have lived in Houston and worked in the fields of herpetology and fine art all of my life.
