Route description

Southwest Ohio to Columbus

US 62 enters Ohio in Brown County from Kentucky via the William H. Harsha Bridge over the Ohio River in Aberdeen, running concurrently with U.S. Route 68. US 62/68 meets U.S. Route 52 after 0.456 miles (0.734 km). From there, the multiplex continues for 5.67 miles (9.12 km) into Ripley. US 62 & 68 remain concurrent for 5.35 miles (8.61 km), where US 68 heads northwest towards Georgetown and Mount Orab. US 62 then heads to Hillsboro. After intersecting with OH 32, US 62 crosses into Highland County after 4.0 miles (6.4 km). US 62 intersects and briefly multiplexes with several state highway routes and intersects U.S. Route 50/Main Street-Chillicothe Ave in downtown Hillsboro.
