A Little Bit About Me

I am a freshman college student at Georgia Southern University. I graduated from Effingham County High School, I am also a HOPE Scholarship recipient as well as an honor graduate. As a child I lived in Atlanta, Georgia, the summer before my 6th grade year my family and I moved to River Falls, Wisconsin and we lived only about 45 minutes from the Mall of America. When I was in 8th grade we moved to Savannah, Georgia and I completed High School there. I've been playing Volleyball year-round since 6th grade traveling to different states to compete in various tournament with my team. I know how to ski, although I haven't had many chances to do so since I moved from Wisconsin. While living there I also tried out snowboarding and I wish I would of have the opportunity to get better at it.

What I've Contributed to Wiki

I began working on Wikipedia articles in August 2010. My first article was wrote on Liz Masakayan. I chose to do an article on her because I play the sport of volleyball and it is a subject I know a lot about. I've also done various edits on the following articles: Tybee Island, Georgia, Driver's Education, Old Yeller, Effingham County High School, Guyton, Georgia, East-European Shepherd, and Masking threshold. I will keep working to improve my article on Liz Masakayan, and any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.

Technology and I

I've been completing work on computers since I was in elementary school. During middle school and high school I've taken various classes to teach me how to properly operate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. A lot of my free time is spent surfing the internet and by doing this I always learn something new about technology that I didn't know previously.

My Take On Wikipedia

Personally, I like Wikipedia. It's useful in finding information about things I'm interested in such as famous people, sports, movies, and TV shows. When I was in high school all of my teachers encouraged me not to use Wikipedia because anyone can go edit an article and the information might not always be accurate. This is true to some extent, but I believe you can still use Wikipedia to find information, I don't think you should use the article itself, but you could use the sources they have cited in the article to potentially find good information about your topic. Because Wikipedia is a site that allows anyone to edit information or create an article about a certain subject, I believe you should first know about that subject or have studied it in someway.

My Language

I am a speaker and writer of the American English language. I've taken a few classes on the Spanish language, however I'm not confident enough or fluent enough in my Spanish to contribute to Spanish Wikipedia articles.

I'm definitely a southern girl I drive an awesome yellow beetle with daisy rims I love Country Music, but I listen to every kind of music Dogs are by far the best pet to own Mac & Cheese and Ice Cream are my favorite food, although not together I LOVE watching football, my favorite team is the Green Bay Packers The Hangover is my all-time favorite funny movie and The Notebook is my all-time romantic/chick flick movie The beach is in my opinion the best place in the world, especially when I need to clear my head I've never been skydiving but that is something I've always wanted to do and will someday do that
