The Gallery is band from Wilbraham, Massachusetts.

History

The band was formed in a Massachusetts basement in 2005 by Ryan Cooney(drums), Dave Mozdzanowski(Bass, Vocals), Micah Burnside(Vocals, Guitar), and Brendan Cooney(Guitar). The group began writing songs and eventually compiled five of them on an EP. From then on, vacations ended up being the only time they could play and record, as this was when Dave and Ryan were on break from school at Palm Beach Atlantic University and Bryant University, respectively. After his sophomore year, Ryan transfered to PBA while Brendan finished his senior year of high school. In early 2007, the entire group decided on a move to South Florida. The move ultimately came with complications, though, when Micah decided he could not follow the group to Florida. With the move inevitable, the three remaining members were forced to quickly find someone to fill the spot. Brendan had decided to pick up lead vocal duties, and the search for a replacement lead-guitarist began. Shea Brennan joined the band that summer, and moved with them in the fall of 2007. Right about the time of the breakup, the band signed a deal with Boston-based Blue Duck Records despite having played only a few times with the new member.

EP

The EP was recorded over five days in December 2005 at East Lake Recording Studio in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts during a winter vacation. The band sold the disc around New England and distributed it to several label executives. It made its way onto a local radio station, and locally began making a name for the band.

If You Know What I Mean

After a year of school and writing, they recorded their first full-length album, If You Know What I Mean, in Ocala, Florida with engineer/producer Andrew Wade. It was released on August 12, 2008 on Blue Duck Records.
