Hello
I wanted to discuss here before I tried to add.
Isn't the meaning of the lyrics basically that the narrator is tired of the drama, and is now leaving their partner/friend due to being used as a crutch and due to being addicted to their state of dependency, with cocaine being a metaphor of this addiction to dependency?
In other words, "I'm just the girl that you lost to cocaine" means "I'm just the girl you lost due to your addictive obsessive dependency on me."
I just wanted to ask this before I edited anything here first.
What you think the lyrics mean, what I think the lyrics mean, or what other editors here think the lyrics mean are all totally irrelevant and are not valid additions to the article. Any discussion of the meaning of the lyrics should be cited to external sources. --

Once Wiki updates its captcha to have an accessible version then I will post links in the discussions.

There is a section called ":yrics" in the article that reads, "In this moral fable the narrator finally walks away from her needy friend, as she was tired of the friend using her as a crutch. "
Is that sourced? And if so, where can I find that exact interpretation?

The presence of material that does not follow guidelines and policies in an article is not a reason for adding more material that is against policies and guidelines. Again, YOUR opinion of the lyrics meaning means absolutely nothing to us and should not be inserted into the article. Find sources, add them. --

I will remove the section in question then, feel free to restore it if it was a bad removal then.
thanks.

@Khajidha I like what you put there, a simple description of the lyrics. good idea.

I can take no credit for that, it is simply the standard for such sections. With the addition of cited analysis if there is any. --
