I'm sad to see you retire. While your edits occasionally had minor errors, I certainly don't feel like they negated the overall quality of your work. The encyclopaedia, and specifically Australian articles, benefited greatly from your presence here as I can. I will endeavour to do as much of the same work in your absence. I hope you come back one day, but until then, best wishes. Sean Stephens ( talk) 03:07, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
Came to this page hoping to tap into your knowledge of the Sheik. His appearance in Dimboola was one of the film's few redeeming features, but his song is not listed in our article. My best guess at its title would be "My Didgeridoo", and it concerns the damage done to his instrument by a jealous knife-wielding woman. Never mind, I'll keep looking. Hello. There is no reason for there to be flatlists in the genre= field of Template:Infobox album anymore, as we now use bulletpoints to list items in most parameters of the infobox. Please do not leave an empty flatlist in any field in an infobox, as you did at All In (Stan Walker album), as it makes the parameter display blank on the actual page, and that's not helpful to anybody. Thanks. Ss 112 20:03, 20 July 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for your numerous contributions to Australian music pages, which I keep coming across (even if I do misread your name as "Jesus" quite frequently)! Laterthanyouthink ( talk) 06:24, 1 August 2022 (UTC) |
Awwww thank you. 🙏. Tobyjamesaus ( talk) 09:13, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
Hi Tobyjamesaus. Just wanted to let you know that instead of using {{
cite Ryan}} inside {{
Certification Table Entry}}, you can use |source=book
and |id=page#
to get the same effect, like I did
here. Enjoy editing! --
(note the space and slash) should not be changed to
per
H:BR. MediaWiki software handles the space+slash better, and changes
to
anyway, so there's no point in changing it.

instead of overriding the source with a long citation. --

Hello Toby. I've seen multiple times recently when you've created articles you've either kept the existing link for that entry on a related disambiguation page or added another link besides the actual link for the entry. Per WP:DAB, there should only be one link per entry on a disambiguation page, as more than one link has the effect of confusing a reader. If the actual disambiguated entry has an article, don't link anything else on the line, or remove the existing link(s). When editing disambiguation pages, just remember "one link per line". Hi Toby, I see you added Australian platinum awards from the Kent Music chart era to the Cliff Richard albums discography (back in December). Thanks for that, much appreciated! I'm wondering where you were able to access the old reports from and if you have access to gold singles from the era too? I remember seeing on a forum Cliff had a number of gold singles between 1979 and 1982 (and probably 1986). It's a pity this kind of info is not available online in Australia. Cheers, AusChartMan ( talk) 05:49, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
Hello Tobyjamesaus. You may not even be aware of it, but the wording you are using to describe the National Live Music Awards is almost identical to that found on their website, which is of course copyright. Searching for "a broad recognition of Australia's diverse live industry, celebrating the success of the Australian live scene" I see that this wording is present in 167 different articles, at least 40 of which you edited in the last day. Please don't use this wording any more. To do so is a copyright violation. I have replaced it with "The National Live Music Awards (NLMAs) commenced in 2016 to recognize contributions to the live music industry in Australia" in the recently edited articles. The remainder of the articles where you added the copyvio wording will already be listed at WP:CCI and will get cleaned at some point (I don't have time to do them all today). Please let me know if you have any questions. — Diannaa ( talk) 12:13, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
Hi Tobyjamesaus, when moving articles such as you did with Under the Surface to Under the Surface (Marit Larsen album), please be sure to change all incoming links to the renamed title as well. Thank you. Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars Talk to me 18:50, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
You will have noticed that AC/DC discography is a FLC. In preparation for submitting the list, with co-nominator VAUGHAN J. ( TALK), we discussed whether High Voltage (1976) should be put into a Compilation albums table. I referred to previous discussions at AC/DC's talk page archive. It was determined to leave the album in the discography list, which typically shows only Studio albums. Consequently it was left in the Studio albums table. shaidar cuebiyar ( talk) 08:28, 18 November 2023 (UTC)

I have to say that you have the wrong information about Travis Collins. As a matter of fact he grew up in Campbelltown NSW and not in Cessnock. He use to busk on the streets in Campbelltown since I have been a long time friend of his for many years going back from High School. Trav is a very well respected and talented person/artist and his music will dominate the music industry for many decades to come and I will always support him in his music career. I love his work and him as a wonderful person and a true best friend and that’s all I can say. 110.21.50.246 ( talk) 11:56, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
Hi Toby. Regarding your creation of Honor the Light, there is no point in using duration templates in track listings or anywhere outside of infoboxes, and even then, per Template:Infobox album#length (and Template:Infobox song#length), duration templates are redundant except in certain circumstances like using multiple lengths. For your consideration:
Hi Shaidar cuebiyar, re the name, I agree, it should be retitled to Year APRA Music Awards as you've suggested. I thought the same thing, but was just going with what was there.
As for the numbering, last year was the 41st as per APRA YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Mc1kSZYI3U , so I think it's safe to assume this year is the 42nd. Tobyjamesaus ( talk) 01:53, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
I don't do Spotify but do you? If so, could you check this. If its legit, you might have to remove "discontinued" from her discography. shaidar cuebiyar ( talk) 10:41, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

Toby, addition of singles like this still require sources. Edits like this could be reverted for being unsourced and I'm sure you're aware of this, so I'm surprised to see you making them. If you do return to add sources, please avoid sources like Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and the like per WP:AFFILIATE. Linking to sites like these can be seen as promotion of their product. Also, I've noticed that you still use Template:N/a for "non-album single" when Template:Non-album single and the plural Template:Non-album singles exist for these purposes. Thanks.
