I'm trying to find the NBC Sports logo circa 1986-1989. It was an all dark red version of the six feathered peacock (with the exception of the white body of the bird) logo that was introduced in 1986. TMC1982
Can someone find a better picture, as it is rather difficult to see the logo on the current image?

There's already an individual page for The NHL on NBC. So it's kind of pointless to add info on the NBC Sports page as well. TMC1982 May 29, 2006 (UTC)
Image:Nbcsports94.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 23:28, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

As a point of reference the official name of the division is NBC Sports and Olympics, Inc. and Dick Ebersol is the Chairman of the Board of NBCS&O per the NBC Universal corporate website. May I suggest that this article be moved to NBC Sports and Olympics and a redirect be placed on NBC Sports. Simon Bar Sinister 08:35, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Who had the rights to the Ryder Cup before NBC obtained them in 1991? Does the deal where NBC exchanged their Friday coverage for the next 4 Ryder Cups to ABC/ESPN in exchange for Al Michaels include NBC getting their Friday coverage for the Ryder Cup back after this deal/contract expires/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by TruckMatt ( talk • contribs) 15:25, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
I think XFL should not be listed as part of NBC Sports former properties, since XFL coverage was never branded as such. I don't think any on-air personnel from NBC Sports ever took part. I think it was a production of the WWE. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.68.1.54 ( talk) 21:46, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

It has been proposed that Formula One on NBC, F1 Countdown, F1 Extra and F1 Paddock Pass be merged into this article. Discuss. DH85868993 ( talk) 05:20, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
To try to clarify...Is there an actual programme called Formula One on NBC or is it being used as an umbrella name for NBC's coverage? If the latter, if it were warranted, it could be used as the name of an article covering all NBC's F1 output. Overall though, it's probably not needed in the same way that separating BBC's F1 coverage from their sports coverage generally is also not. Eagleash ( talk) 05:47, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
This section has really just become a list of almost everyone who works or has worked as a commentator on any NBC Sports telecast. Any suggestions on what to do with it? Infinite mission ( talk)
