Lack of inline citations for "History" section

About 2/3 of the history section is taken from http://louisatown.org/co-hist.htm, and the remainder is adapted (no longer matches the source), and either requires a reliable source, or should be removed. Tedickey ( talk) 21:19, 28 March 2009 (UTC) reply

Do you have some reason to doubt the official history as authoritative? -- Zeamays ( talk) 22:05, 28 March 2009 (UTC) reply

Your edits diverge from the statements in the url, which is (read it) an extract from another work. The "official" (sic) history for example doesn't refer to a secular commune. Tedickey ( talk) 23:31, 28 March 2009 (UTC) reply

Unsourced statements from History section

A very quick/partial list of items from the history section not corresponding to the given source:

  • use of "secular" for commune (not found in source).
  • unqualified use of "oldest" (source qualifies it by saying "still in existence")
  • sentence referring to "retirees" (no part of that appears in source)
  • contextually puzzling comment about Lake Anna (source does refer to it as a side effect of building the power station, what's left out of both is that its primary purpose is cooling the station - linked topic does that). In the current context, it makes Dominion sound as if it developed the lake for your entertainment.
  • rewrite of the paragraph regarding Trevilians states that there were "several significant cavalry actions" (not found in source)
  • comment about Thomas Johnson (not found in source)
  • Louisa vs Louise (text and source differ)
  • comment about when Patrick Henry lived there does not agree with source
