Under "Early Life", the sentence The man was a kind man and died in 1886 is blatantly opinionated. The date of death may be verifiable, but it is a value judgment whether or not he was really a kind man. Now, you may be able to provide a reference stating that he was considered by some, or even by many, to be a kind man. You may be able to establish the fact that this was a generally-held opinion of him, but you cannot take an opinion and try to present it as a fact. Butch Cassidy

"During one particularly trying period in 1874, three Navajo Indians were shot by a member of the Butch Cassidy gang". In 1874 Butch Cassidy was 8 years old. Hardly the right age to organize a gang. אביהו ( talk) 16:32, 10 December 2016 (UTC) reply

The Navajos were shot by Tom and Bill McCarty in 1874. There is a Bill McCarty in one of the photographs on the Wikipedia page for Cassidy's Wild Bunch gang. Map

I appreciate the work that went into putting together the map, but it looks a little odd to me. The southern terminus of the Wasatch Mountains is normally considered to be Mount Nebo, which is about 150 miles north of Parowan. In Jon Krakauer's book, it should be pointed out, Hamblin 'orchestrated the shakedown and robbery of the William Dukes wagon train'.     • Jon Krakauer's book is an act of hate speech and should never be used as a source for anything. It was written with the intent of attacking The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and trying to falsely implicate them in the actions of people who were either excommunicated from the Church long before their actions or were never actually members of the Church. It is a tract full of attempts to imply guilt by association, it is a work of shoddy scholarship intended to increase antagonism and hate, and should never be treated as a reliable source. First reference
