3.18.09 removed text of entire editorial about Presidio and added a link to Chronicle page. (Hank Chapot, not logged in)User:68.164.171.135 (talk)
(content added back by Kyle1278, possibly as a good faith response to its appearance as a section blanking/vandalism, which it wasnt. no comment made here by this editor. this comment inserted to clarify the sequence of events)

I contest this revert (ie having the editorial put back in after it was removed) Harold Gilliam wrote hundreds of editorials. For someone to cut and paste one of many, probably an opponent of the
Fisher Museum in the
Presidio, doesn't seem to be good for a wikipedia page unless you want to cut and paste massive quantities of Gilliam's words. I think the link to said editorial was a better answer

I added links to a sampling of Gilliam's output as an environmental editorialist. Removed the cut and paste from
editor Kevin Danaher, though the article he was interested in is represented in first external link.

The editorial which was removed was copyrighted material, and could not stay here, no matter how important or representative of gilliams work, and no matter who the editor was or whether they represent or sympathise with any external group. the number of links to his work is excessive. I will try at some point to trim back the list of links to essential ones, maybe one link to a chronicle work and a few others. fixed up the article somewhat, as the formatting and style was all wrong. also clarified sequence of events on talk page, as it was confusing at first to me. Note:
Kevin Danaher is not currently about the activist by that name, but originally was, and was created by the subject of the article, so
Kevin Danaher (activist), appears to be the same person as the editor who added the gilliam piece here. I probably agree with his sentiments, but this is not the place to fight the good fight, esp. if content added doesnt meet WP guidelines.

Articles by Gilliam that were external links
The external links section consisted mostly of articles by him. I have just removed those in the course of recasting the article now that he has died and obituaries have been published. Here is the list:
