I like the information you put on your page about Francisco, however,it's missing the day he was born and were he was born. To help other fourth graders, since the birth dale is required, I think that you should put his birth place and date.

I was wondering about that as well. Any birth date? --  Thorpe  talk 17:47, 27 September 2005 (UTC) reply

Barra de Navidad or Puerto de Navidad México is located in Jalisco México, is an error to write "Route of the 1539 voyage by Francisco de Ulloa from Navidad (Acapulco) along the west coast of Mexico".

Reasons for mistaking California for an island

There is an assertion that Ulloa's reports helped people think California is an island, although they are described as clearly saying it wasn't, and the related Wikipedia entries on Hernando de Alarcón and Island of California both say that it was thought of as a peninsula for some time after Ulloa (eg in Mercator and Ortelius maps), and the island misconception came back later. Perhaps the reports did somehow help the 'island' theory, but it's not clear how, so a citation would be useful. Peace Makes Plenty ( talk) 13:59, 19 April 2014 (UTC) reply

Lost Ship of the Desert

The citation ( LOST SHIP OF THE DESERT) does not support the claim in the article. אביהו ( talk) 06:26, 14 October 2016 (UTC) reply
