Claims about discovery and original name

I've commented out some claims about the discovery and original name of the bay, because the citation was insufficient - a guy's name in parentheses. (Said guy does seem to exist, and to be a local expert.) If claims are true, this ought to be easy to source. Anyone care to? Jessicapierce ( talk) 01:29, 12 November 2017 (UTC) reply
