  • Support move as a more accurate name, which is clearer as to what it describes than the current page title is. ONR  (talk) 21:43, 27 February 2018 (UTC) reply

Edits for Avast SecureLine VPN page

I work in marketing at Avast and I would like to make a few changes/updates to the SecureLine VPN page to make it more concise and do some copy edits. Does anyone mind if I make some tweaks? pinging @ Der Golem: @ Concus Cretus: @ Anarchyte: Empey at Avast ( talk) 21:53, 12 September 2018 (UTC) reply

@ Empey at Avast: Hi, we'd appreciate it if you could list the changes here and have someone else do them. See WP:COI and {{ edit request}}. Anarchyte ( work | talk) 06:12, 13 September 2018 (UTC) reply
@ Anarchyte: I put together a draft of the changes for review here. Comments are in red and changes are in bold or strikeout. Empey at Avast ( talk) 20:40, 26 September 2018 (UTC) reply
@ Empey at Avast: I modified the lead accordingly, but kept the bulk of the background section. However, I did remove the price. Feel free to let me know if you have any other concerns. Cheers, Anarchyte ( work | talk) 04:12, 27 September 2018 (UTC) reply

The following claims constitute improper synthesis, because the cited source does not mention Avast SecureLine at all:

SecureLine VPN encrypts the user's internet traffic and redirects the traffic through a tunnel via Avast data centers. This changes the geolocation of the IP address of the user to that of the selected VPN server. [1]

SecureLine VPN users' both outgoing and incoming internet traffic is encrypted and redirected through a tunnel via Avast data centers. This changes the geolocation of the IP address of the user to that of the selected VPN server. [1]
