"...spectacular..."

Isn't this wiki supposed to be neutral? Spectacular is a very subjective word to use when describing the view. It should be phrased as "widely considered spectacular" or something else that indicates many find it spectacular, but that is still objective. Sorry but opinions on how good a view is cannot be stated as facts as far as I know on this wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scotty Zebulon ( talkcontribs) 15:21, 19 November 2008 (UTC) reply

Images

I would propose removing 2 of the 3 images of the 2008 fire. As it stands now, 38% of the photos in this article are about that 1 fire, which, while certainly notable, should not have that many photos. If there are no comments to the contrary, I will remove them in 1 week. 65.167.146.130 ( talk) 17:30, 6 January 2009 (UTC) reply

Counties

According to a recent Thomas Bros map, the county line follows the east shore of the island, so that the whole island is in Marin. I do remember seeing older maps in which the county line is polygonal and cuts off some bits of the east shore for SF. Has it in fact changed? How can we check? — Tamfang ( talk) 23:57, 25 July 2009 (UTC) reply

External links

Responding to a June 2010 notice, I pared the external links section down to essentials. Several links were more appropriate for the Immigration Station article, others were good reference sources but didn't meet the criteria of WP:ELYES. No slight is intended. - McGhiever ( talk) 21:58, 24 September 2011 (UTC) reply

Adding more information underneath the immigration station and Quarantine

I planned to add more information underneath the immigration station. I am going to add angel island being Chinese American way into the united states. Rmaharjan7cl7yp ( talk) 20:59, 10 November 2017 (UTC) reply

I will be editing your work. I think it's a good idea to add information about the immigration station. Maybe adding of the reason why they came to Angel Island and how it help them or if it affected them.

Restoration and Preservation Act

I found a governmental reference regarding preservation and restoration of Angel Island. It gives legislative history of how the H.R. 606 was introduced and passed to appropriate $15 million dollars to the Secretary of Interor for restoration. It also goes into more detail with cost and budgeting. Before I added anything I checked if it was already mentioned but I didn't see it on this Wiki page, so I went to the other Wiki page [ Island Immigration Station] to check if it was there. It's not either. Would it be more accurate to add the information to this page or to the other? Or it is it not relevant information?

Quarantine Station

I plan to add information about how Angel Island was a quarantine station prior to it being an immigration station. My source is from a book. [1]

Dueling ground

In the 1939 WPA Guide one reads ( page 297) "Angle Island was the scene of many duels, the most famous being the Ferguson-Johnston encounter in 1858, over the slavery question." Senator William I. Ferguson is red and seems to be missing at both William Ferguson and California_State_Senate#Past_composition_of_the_Senate (which just points to Political party strength in California), and George P. Johnson seems to be something else entirely. Marinhistorymuseum gives George Pen Johnston or George Pendleton Johnston (both missing from George Johnston, but sheds no light on just how the slavery question figured.
