Approving ALT0 and ALT1. Article is long enough and expanded same day as DYK nomination. Article is well-sourced, copyvio-free, and presentable. Hooks are all interesting and sourced; I prefer the first two ALTs because ALT 2 requires prior knowledge of who George Orwell was, and because it just isn't as aesthetically pleasing due to the brackets.
