So far, as of this date, have added all the wikipedia articled waterfalls of Category:Waterfalls of British Columbia, Category:Waterfalls of Alberta, and Category:Waterfalls of Ontario to the list. Need to find some more references and fill in some waterfall criteria for some entries. Need to completely add all the waterfalls of Category:Waterfalls of Canada which have references. Added note in response to List_of_waterfalls_in_British_Columbia SriMesh | talk 03:26, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Didn't add Klehini Falls. See note on talk page of article about references. SriMesh | talk 03:30, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
The Chaudière River waterfalls are missing. Those are notable enough that a MRC and an electoral district were named after them. The chute Kabir Kouba of the Saint-Charles River is also a notable attraction. Both do tend to be overshadowed by the grander, better publicized Montmorency, though. I just created this as I'd come across its BCGNIS entry, which had some height info. However, that height info differs from what in this article (365 meters/1,198 ft ), citing 1300 ft, 850-900 in the first cascade from Turner Lake, then another 400 into the Atnarko River. BCGNIS cites BC Parks as it source for this. Is there a more recent, more official measure than this. "Hunlen Falls". BC Geographical Names. is the cite. Skookum1 ( talk) 01:16, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
The two external links on Kleena Kleene both mention this set of waterfalls, but it's not in BCGNIS. Anybody heard of them? Skookum1 ( talk) 01:16, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
I just created these; I'm uncertain of Monkman Falls is in Monkman Provincial Park or not and don't have any height information; Kinuseo Falls is either 197' or 225', depending on which source is used (the first is in the Monkman Park article, the other is from BCGNIS, which says it's the 5th highest). If anyone woudl care to add them to the article, there's an image of Kinuseo Falls on its page and maybe the elevation/ranking issue can be resolved. Skookum1 ( talk) 02:09, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
This page is in brutal shape right now. Pretty much any error you can think of is on this page. I apologize if this offends anyone; some of you probably have worked hard to keep this page in good shape but this bad boy has a mind of its own. When I get time I'm going to make some MAJOR changes to this page to make sure it doesn't get out of our grasp again.
I won't bite you if you ask me what I don't like about this page at the moment but don't expect me to tell you everything I don't like about it because there is just so much for me to complain about. Seriously, the only way I could explain every grievance I have about this page would be via a long, 5 minute long video of me just ranting about my dislike for this page's current state. I don't think anyone wants that do they now? Thought so! AndrewEnns ( talk) 04:08, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
I just tried to sort the BC section to try and get a listing by height; it doesn't work, 3, 33, 335 all come in sequence, and 1, 10, 1000 in another sequence. I don't know how to fix the number format, or what to use, but I do know such sorts work in other tables for other things; but maybe List of waterfalls in Canada by height would be a simpler solution. Skookum1 ( talk) 19:46, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
There are a lot of red links and a huge lack of pictures. Should we remove some waterfalls? I think some small ones, without pictures and pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.246.231.51 ( talk) 23:34, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Maybe the same is true of the other sections, I just tried sorting the BC section by height of falls and it doesn't come out in the proper order.....is that because of the inclusion of the elevation in feet; would using the conversion template work better maybe? Many of these much higher ones do have BC Names listing, so I'll make stubs, though their elevations are in the World Waterfall Database, rarely in a BC govt site. Shannon Falls is touted in its article, with a cite from BC Parks, as being third highest....and it's a cascade and tiered, not a free fall like some of the much higher ones like Alfred Creek Falls or Francis Falls. Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

This page is in pretty bad shape, a lot of different ideas put together, I think I will tackle this page in a few weeks if no one does it first. Probably separate the list by there own provincial pages, maybe include them in the page such as list of rivers of New Brunswick all nicely tied in with all the rest of the bodies of water in New Brunswick here, Also take the pictures out and leave them in the articles themselves. Any objections or suggestions before I do this. Please place it here.23:23, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
I reverted your edits on List of waterfalls of Canada. Both entries were about legitimate waterfalls. Care to explain?-- Auric talk 16:42, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
Are these of any help?

The url http://www.world-waterfalls.com now redirects to http://www.waterfallsnorthwest.com, and this database only includes the U.S. states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho - nothing in Canada. The Canadian falls are at https://www.worldwaterfalldatabase.com, so many of the references in this article are now dead. I have started putting in the new links but there is a long way to go. In addition, the new website gives updated/changed classes and waterfall types. I have not found any other source for this information, so I have started updating this information from the website (in addition to adding coordinate info where needed). If there are any objections or if anyone has a more official source of information, please holler. Leschnei ( talk) 21:02, 17 June 2017 (UTC)

A contributor wanted the refs is a single column with no reason given. Adding columns should improve the appearance I am giving it a try. I came across this article fixing citations.
P.S. This article really needs some attention. User-duck ( talk) 20:59, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: moved. There's consensus that "in" is preferable to "of" for waterfall-related lists. I'll try to move all of the ones that use "of"; if you find any I've missed, feel free to move them yourself or leave a request at WP:RM/TR. ( closed by non-admin page mover) Extraordinary Writ ( talk) 17:32, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
– There's more but I think it's easy to get the point I'm trying to argue. I can add more but WP:RMPM says to consider naming conventions even if there is no technical limit to the amount of requested page moves I can make at once. In regards to naming conventions, my reading of WP:LISTNAME has lead me to believe that there isn't really nessecarily rules about this, even if all the cited examples are lists including "of". I don't think these titles should say "of" but should instead say "in". There isn't anything there that says that list titles are required to use of. It just makes more sense to me for the titles to be like this. I originally tried to make a move request for List of waterfalls in Canada but then someone pointed out to me that if done, this should be a mass renaming for consistency. I didn't really realize it was a more widespread thing, but I agree that there should probably be a discussion somewhere since it is. Thoughts? Clovermoss (talk) 15:43, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
