I'd think ordering the names chronologically would be better than alphabetically. Grsz 11 21:11, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
I note that various secretaries are said to have been born in Ireland, at a time when there was no such country. In addition, Franklin Lane was not born in Canada; he was born in the colony of Prince Edward Island, which did not become part of Canada until he was nine (and by then, living in California). Any thought on whether some modification, or at least asterisks are needed?-- Wehwalt ( talk) 03:27, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Has there ever been a U.S. cabinet secretary who was not a U.S. citizen at the time they took office? Is there anything prohibiting the appointment of a non-citizen? Andrew Levine ( talk) 16:11, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Have any of these appointees ever been refused a security clearance or been ineligible to handle sensitive security and intelligence information b/c they were foreign-born? 74.69.121.132 ( talk) 17:17, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

On the list here, he is listed as Secretary of Agriculture under four presidents (McKinley to Wilson). However on his own Wikipedia page Wilson is omitted, nor is he listed as Secretary on Woodrow Wilson's presidency article? 101090ABC ( talk) 22:48, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
