Would someone kindly normalize the page name with it's partner, List of Microsoft Windows fonts — Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.83.147.174 ( talk) 01:03, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
Nick: I'm working on extracting the font files from all the Mac OS X installation CD's (10.0, 10.1 tier 2, 10.2, 10.3), so that I can create somewhat of a timeline of which fonts were included in which version. So I suggest you hold of on spending too much time on manually listing the fonts, until I'm done.
One font I have not been able to find, which you list below, is Andale Mono. Where did you find that information? — David Remahl 15:14, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I have listed the styles of a font all together even if the typefaces are given as belonging to different families in a default installation (I edit many of my font's name tables anyway, to consolidate families). I have also removed foundry suffixes (ITC, MT, MS etc.), but listed separately fonts who's purpose is to provide characters for non-Roman scripts where the main font was insufficient (for example, Arial HB & Helvetica CY). In most such cases the original font was subsequently expanded, rendering the secondary font useless. — Nicholas 11:44, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I need translations for the following font names and weights.
Please translate where possible, otherwise, transliterate. Translations can be posted directly in Unicode on my
korean talk page. Please also be aware of the difference between Oblique and Italic. —

Some of the above terms and names are translated in the font files themselves (the 'name' table. As I said, I'm creating a utility to extract all vital information from the fonts automatically, and present it in table form. That said, there are many things that are not translated, such as Devanagari. — David Remahl 12:14, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
The Armenian font Mshtakan which I designed is not mentioned on this page, though it ships with OS X. Evertype 17:22, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
I don't have the font Beijing on Mac OS 10.4. Which version was it included with? Njál 01:17, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Has anyone thought of listing the fonts that come bundled with X11 on the installer disks? Luxi and Vera are both included as .ttf files. Just a thought :) Dan Gayle 05:31, 8 January, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.143.69.206 ( talk) 13:33, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
According to this Tahoma is NOT present in 10.4, can I remove (it from the list) or have I missed something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lunarmys ( talk • contribs) 11:10, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
The correct pangram is “The quick brown fox jumps…”. The version on this page shows a “d” twice, but does not show an “s”. Can the author of the file modify this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.144.232.116 ( talk) 18:01, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
I want to add Demi to the Optima family. I tried buying an Optima Demi font, but its metrics are not compatible. It would be good to know exactly which foundary supplies each of the fonts, so one could order additional weights that are compatible. Encyclopedant ( talk) 01:16, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Hello, I've been thinking about a navbox on this article subject for a while, and put together a draft now, prioritising the Latin fonts (which are probably of most interest to English-language readers). Based on the situation today with Yosemite but with San Francisco added. I think this could be good on articles for fonts strongly associated with OS X like Hoefler Text, Menlo, Monaco and so on. Could also be moved to other language wikipedias with minimal translation work. Blythwood ( talk) 00:14, 8 July 2015 (UTC)
Currently we have a table of Family Name, Subtype, Faces Available, Target script and other notes, along with several sections stating what was new in which version. This is disorganized and hard to follow. I propose consolidating into a table with the fields Family, Subtype (which would not reference target script at all), Faces, Target script, Added (OS X version), Removed (OS X version), Notes. Possibly also an additional column to denote Special for "hidden/optional" installs—for example, the fonts you get only if you'd installed Classic in one of the early versions. ⇔ ChristTrekker 17:58, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
