Boots of Leather, Slippers of Gold mentions that dyking was a slang term for tribbing in the 1950s. Would that be worth adding into the "Origins and historical usage" section? Kaldari ( talk) 18:24, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
This article contradicts itself…. Says that it originated as a perjorative and homophobic slur, then goes on to say the term originated by lesbians and homosexuals without malice… which is it? 72.186.73.80 ( talk) 03:50, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

I’m no expert on this (On account of being straight, and a man) but I feel that “slang” is a pretty light descriptor for a word that is considered offensive if used by most of the population. Plus even if it wasn’t considered offensive slang would feel like an odd term. I feel like “term” would be a better disambiguation. Not proposing a move just yet because I’d like, you know, people this page is actually relevant to to decide if it should be moved. MRN2electricboogaloo ( talk) 21:15, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
