@ Heartfox: @ MaranoFan: I am seeing that there is an active GAN opened since May. Might you please explain? Ippantekina ( talk) 04:42, 20 June 2023 (UTC) reply

There were no comments in two weeks so I closed it as per WP:GAN/I#N4a. Heartfox ( talk) 15:35, 20 June 2023 (UTC) reply

Overall a well-written article, but I do have a few suggestions re the prose:

  • "Clown" is an answer song that addresses comments rapper Eminem made about her in the media and on The Eminem Show (2002) track "Superman" → "Clown" is an answer song to the comments that rapper Eminem made about Carey in the media and on the 2022 track "Superman"
    • Done
  • and "The Night I Fell in Love" by the Pet Shop Boys → the Pet Shop Boys' "The Night I Feel in Love" to make it consistent
    • Done
  • Also consider adding release years to the said songs
    • Added
  • "Carey performed "Clown" in a circus-themed segment during the 2003–2004 Charmbracelet World Tour while two puppeteers controlled an Eminem look-alike on stage." → On the Charmbracelet World Tour, Carey performed... while...
    • Done
  • "while promoting the project" → promoting the album
    • Done
  • "It features background vocals by Carey and Trey Lorenz" → The song features
    • Done
  • I wouldn't cite the lyrics from the booklet ( WP:NOTLYRICS) unless they were quoted and discussed by the scholarly sources/reviews
    • I cut down on the lyrics
  • "a worthy exception to the album's formula" any more context as to what "formula" means here?
    • Added a note and changed "formula" to "theme"
  • Not sure if "juxtaposed with" is the right wording... I'd just use "compared to"
    • Done
  • Rest of prose looks good! Kudos to the scholarly sources that you found :) Ippantekina ( talk) 08:57, 22 June 2023 (UTC) reply
Thanks for the very helpful comments, Ippantekina. Heartfox ( talk) 18:09, 24 June 2023 (UTC) reply
Nice work, Heartfox. I did a quick spotcheck and no issues turned out. Sourcing is appropriately formatted. The article looks ready for a GA :) Passing-- Ippantekina ( talk) 07:12, 26 June 2023 (UTC) reply
