Yes, I know the Music theme is a stretch, but I'm not sure whether the info in that section should be deleted as trivial or is really part of an over-arching theme for Charlie. Baryonyx 23:45, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
I removed the speculation that Charlie is based on Naveen Andrews' life. This is neither confirmed nor pertinent, especially since the IMDB trivia page (and interviews with Mr. Monaghan I've read) indicate that the part of Charlie was part of the original show concept, but was re-written from a middle-aged fading star to a 20-something after TPTB saw Mr. Monaghan's audition. Occam's Razor would indicate to me that the character of Charlie is more based on the many other rockers who lived Charlie's lifestyle than on Naveen Andrews. In fact, as Damon Lindelof said at Lost-TV, "And the first thing we wrote for the show before there was even a script were character outlines. Like Charlie, for instance. We constructed him as a has-been musician, late 40s who'd been in a band in the '80s and then Dominic Monaghan came in and read and it was like wow! He was so amazing we changed the character and write for him (Dominic)." This pretty much kills any speculation, IMHO. Baryonyx 07:30, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
The second half of this (In "Adrift"...) really needs to be fixed up a bit... There are quite a few spelling mistakes and it doesn't read well. -- Casiotone 14:23, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
HEY HEY HEY !!! I THINK CHARLIE PACE IS AN HOMMAGE TO KURT COBAIN !!! JUST COMPARE THEIR LIVES AND YOU'LL AGREE WITH ME !!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.221.204.153 ( talk) 14:25, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Charlie has alot of parallels with Eddie Dean from Stephen King's Dark Tower Series. They are both heroin addicts thrown into a completely different enviornment. Also when they were young their mother and big brother took care of them and then later on they end up taking care of the big brother. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.255.130.146 ( talk • contribs) January 25, 2005.
I have a friend named Charlie pace wierd — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yoyoyoyoyoyak47 ( talk • contribs) 10:52, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
Should the obvious Oasis connections (band from Manchester led by brothers - lead singer named Liam and another one who writes the songs, etc.), be mentioned here? It's mentioned in the article on the (fake) band. john k 18:29, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Due to the nature of the show Lost (as Edward knows all so well) there are no suits or leaving the island to pop to a movie festival, the image portrays a fictional character in the fictional surroundings, You could not portray the character with a photo of the actor doing general things because that wouldn’t be portraying the character at all. Matthew Fenton ( talk) 13:36, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
In the season 1 & 2 box sets, English subtitles constantly spell the band name "Drive Shaft", not "DriveSHAFT" etc. Has the spelling "DriveSHAFT" (used in all Lost-related articles) been verified anywhere to be the correct, in-canon spelling? (Like some obscure shot of an album cover or band poster in the series which I may have missed.) If so, should there be a notion about the correctness of the spelling versus the one in the DVD subtitles? EDIT: Moreover, it seems both spellings are used in Wikipedia articles - even the DriveSHAFT-section of Charlie's article features a sentence "they won't book Drive Shaft without you." Should we stick to one spelling only? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.112.48.162 ( talk) 22:56, 5 February 2007 (UTC). Reply by Darc10222: I would have agreed with you but on the official Drive Shaft website it is spelled as DriveSHAFT ( http://www.driveshaftband.com/). Plus I don't think the subtitles are gonna have the correctly used spelling of a band name.
Could a little section be devoted to the number of times he has almost died? Seeing as how Charlie is apparently "destined" to bite the dust and has a handful of times, I think it would be interesting to include a sub-section list of close calls. StarIV 08:51, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
There is no mention anywhere of a particular reason for the choosing of charlie's middle name, as there is for the surnames for John Locke or Desmond Hume or Danielle Rousseau. What's the connection? Is there some peculiar character trait in the painter that is reflected in Charlie's character, or is it just random? I can't find any sources on the subject.
Yes, I believe it to be a direct link to Hieronymus Bosch. Garden of Earthly Delights seems to be a connection to the island, it's pretty amazing. Pretty clever those creators of Lost are, lol. —Preceding

Should the artile be changed to past tense, now that he's confirmed as dead? I don't really know the policy on this, but if it's worth mentioning, it was changed to past tense on Lostpedia. ɱўɭĩє What did I do wrong 16:32, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Is the section really necessary? I don't think it is at all. The issue will always be original research. It may be addressed slightly in a podcast, but never enough for there to be a whole section on it. I really think it's more in the realm of Lostpedia. Millancad 04:28, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
I think you would have to be blind to not see 'Driveshaft' is based heavily on Oasis! Even an American audience where they arn't quite as big must be able to see it.
This article is awful - it's currently completely in 'in-universe' style and it needs to be completely re-written. - Jw2034 17:03, 10 Nov 2007 (GMT)
I think we shouldn't list him as dead, rather "probably dead" or something like it. Even though Desmond had predicted it, for all we know he could have survived and crawled out the port hole and come back for the 4th season. Maybe it is just wishful thinking, but until we know for sure, I think it should be changed. Nateabel 05:32, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Image:Charlielost.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. This article is written in a poor in-universe style. Would whoever keeps undoing my edits, particualrly to 'Driveshaft' to correct this please stop or provide some contribution. Thanks. -- Jw2034 17:30, 10 Novenmber 2007 (GMT)
I think Charlie will be in season four, because he is in the official trailer for season four.... at 23 seconds for a VERY brief moment, there is a shot of him talking to Hurley. I was able to get a screenshot of it by pausing it RIGHT when I needed to. Here is a cropped version of the screenshot...
Personally, for the sake of organisation, I think DriveShaft alone shouldn't be a section of this article. Rather, I think it would be better if it were rewritten into a bigographical piece and made a subcategory and put under the prior to the crash category. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sylar07 ( talk • contribs) 22:07, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
The opening paragraph says "Dominic Monaghan was billed as a guest star in season four". Unless I'm mistaken, this is incorrect. Monaghan was still listed onscreen as starring in episode 4x01 (and did not appear at all in subsequent episodes). He was never a guest star. 82.121.238.14 ( talk) 12:34, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
The image File:Driveshaft.JPG is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

Uh, it's since been confirmed that it's Flashforward, not Lost. So I removed it. -- CF90 ( talk) 13:44, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
according to ZAP2IT, he is making a guest appearance on LOST. If it is just in flashback or such, then I agree that it does not merit being in the article. If he is indeed returning (Ie, the INCIDENT) worked........ Whippletheduck ( talk) 15:40, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
I'd also point out that if he does return we will get confirmation soon. Personally, i think Jacob knew it, and that is why he left that guitar with Hurley, to make sure it would bring back Charlie somehow. Whippletheduck ( talk) 02:55, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
updating, Dominic said at Comic-Con that he is coming back to the show as Charlie Pace. Seem's pretty sourceable to me.

Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true.
