The section regarding connection with socialism and the labour movement strikes me as not particularly relevant. Sure, the road passes through areas where there have been significant connections with the labour movement, but no evidence is presented in the article to suggest that the road itself has any such associations. So I will remove this section. Sorry to remove a lot of text, but this article is meant to be about the road itself rather than about other aspects of the areas through which it passes, so the link being made here does seem a bit tenuous. Just in case further information can be provided in the article which establishes a direct link between the road and the socialist movement, I will add a diff of my removal for ease of re-adding the information if appropriate. — Alan ✉ 20:06, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

The page states:- The A465 between Llandarcy and Hirwaun was initially constructed to dual carriageway standard, and as such will not see a major upgrade.
However, only the sections between Llandarcy and Aberdulais, and Glynneath to Hirwaun, were originally dual carriageway. The section between Aberdulais and Glynneath was single carriageway until approx 1997. Wikipediun2000 ( talk) 10:47, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
