Actually, since the end of May, they've begun to get worse, there have been major riots in major cities throught the country,and thus they're ongoing. Remember, there were a few minor protests in Syria in January and February, then there was a gap, then all hell broke loose Ericl ( talk) 17:55, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

According to WP:PERSISTENCE "Notable events usually receive coverage beyond a relatively short news cycle. " It dosen't seems have been cited as a case study in multiple sources after the initial coverage has died down. -- 王小朋友 ( talk) 09:45, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
