The U.S. gubernatorial elections of 2007, of which there are three, will be held on November 6, 2007. Governors coming up for re-election are Ernie Fletcher ( R- Kentucky), Kathleen Blanco ( D- Louisiana) and Haley Barbour ( R- Mississippi). Of these three, Barbour is the most popular and can be expected to win re-election fairly easily. Both Fletcher and Blanco are unpopular; in Kentucky Fletcher's governorship has been embroiled in scandal while in Louisiana Blanco has taken the flack for the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the federal government's ill-preparedness to deal with casualties, and 63% of Louisianans disapprove of her.
is just me but does not some of that sound pov ?

I would like to resurrect my previous idea to change the current naming convention for elections. The current convention is:
I propose this is changed to allow two alternatives, as follows:
This new option would make linking more natural and make the article names more encyclopedic.
Please comment on this proposal at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions#New elections proposal
