Mahmudabad (

Mahmudabad Rural District of
Sivan District ,
Ilam County ,
Ilam province,
Iran .

Kurds .

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 854 in 171 households, when it was in the
Mishkhas Rural District of the
Central District .
[6] The following census in 2011 counted 887 people in 225 households.
[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 789 people in 217 households,
[2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of the new Sivan District.

The rural district was established in 2023, with Mahmudabad as its capital.
