Zhejiang Hupan Entrepreneurship Research Center ( Chinese: 浙江湖畔创业研学中心) is a private enterprise in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. [1] [2] Despite the early use of "university" as a suffix, the enterprise is never accredited or registered as an educational institution. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]

It was founded in 2015 by Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba Group. [8] [2]

History

In 2015, Jack Ma and nine fellow business executives decided to found a school based in China. [9] This organization have 9 co-founders including Jack Ma, Chuanzhi Liu, Lun feng, Guangchang Guo, Yuzhu Shi, Guojun Shen, Yingyi Qian, Hongbing Cai and Xiaofeng Shao.[ citation needed]

The institution also offers online classes. [10]

Jack Ma stepped down from presidency of the enterprise in 2021. The organization announced it would restructure, including changing its name to Zhejiang Hupan Entrepreneurship Research Center and disassociating itself from Ma. [11]
