Summary

Description
English: The House considered a bill designed to establish a joint committee on the organization of Congress. The bill called for a 28 member bipartisan committee of Representatives and Senators which would recommend changes in the organization, structure, and rules of Congress. The committee would look for ways to improve the overall efficiency of Congress, including simplifying operations, improving relations with other branches of the government, and creating a more orderly consideration of legislation.
