DescriptionOssining MNRR Station; N End of NYC-bound platform.jpg
English: The Harbor Square Luxury Apartment complex as well as a much older industrial building along Westerly Road as seen from the
Croton-Harmon and
Poughkeeepsie-bound platform of the
Ossining Metro-North Railroad station on the Metro-North Hudson Line in the
Village of Ossining, New York. The
New York City-bound platform can also be seen in between Westerly Road and the camera position with the standard Metro-North Helvetica Italic sign, as well as the Kill Brook railroad bridges for the southbound local tracks and the express tracks. The use of the station as a hub for the
Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry seems to have attracted upscale development to replace the now dead industrial development along the river, however as we can see here, some remnants of that period still survive.
