DescriptionAvatar Grove Douglas-fir and Redcedar.jpg
English: Avatar Grove near Port Renfrew BC contains some of the most accessible and impressive ancient forests on Vancouver Island. Giant Douglas-firs (Pseudotsuga menziesii subsp. menziesii, left) and gnarly Western Redcedars (Thuja plicata, right) fill the grove. The area is under the imminent threat of logging by surrey based company Teal Jones.
