[5] It incorporates elements of southern hip hop, and uses echoing drums, [6] dirty synth beats and a heavy bassline. [4] Jody Macgregor of Allmusic noted the "F.R.E.S.H." as one of the highlights of Rhyme Book. [6]
The music video for "F.R.E.S.H" was directed by Chris Graham, who is mentioned in the song. In the first sixty seconds of the clip there are approximately 100 cuts used.
