This category includes neighborhoods of Honolulu, the area commonly referred to as the city of Honolulu and defined as a census county division by the U.S. Census Bureau. Other neighborhoods in the wider City & County of Honolulu, which includes the whole island of Oahu and a number of smaller uninhabited islands, are included in Category:Census-designated places in Honolulu County, Hawaii or Category:Populated places on Oahu.

These neighborhoods should not be confused with the areas served by the 36 Neighborhood Boards, advisory councils of elected citizens from 36 "neighborhoods" on the island of Oahu which deliberate and deliver proposed changes in municipal law to the Honolulu City Council.
