Bobby Wayne McCool is an American politician serving as a member in the Kentucky House of Representatives since January 1, 2019. His district consists of Johnson, Martin, and Pike counties. [1] [2]

Education

McCool earned a Master of Arts degree from Morehead State University, and Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Kentucky University. [3]

Career

McCool previously served as a United States Marine, coal miner, and teacher/administrator. [4] In 2018, He ran for the office of representative from the 97th district against Democrat Craig Lindon. McCool won the election with 57.8% of the vote to Lindons 42.2%. In 2020 he ran for re-election against Democratic candidate Will Hurst. McCool won the election with 78.5% to Hurst's 21.5%. In 2022 he ran for re-election unopposed. [5]
