Zielnowo [ʑɛlˈnɔvɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Radzyń Chełmiński, within Grudziądz County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. [1] It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Radzyń Chełmiński, 16 km (10 mi) south-east of Grudziądz, and 41 km (25 mi) north-east of Toruń.
During the German occupation of Poland ( World War II), several Poles from Zielnowo were imprisoned by the Germans in the monastery in nearby Rywałd and eventually murdered in Stara Ruda (see: Intelligenzaktion). [2]
