Reduction in the lead

Again, in an effort to simplify and shorten the DRV page to make the process more clear for those who come here (especially newer editors), I recommend the following be used in the lead, which I have written:

Deletion Review (DRV) is a forum designed primarily for disputed deletions and speedy deletions, and for disputed decisions made in deletion discussions; this includes appeals to delete pages kept after a prior discussion.

If you are considering a request for a deletion review, please read the "Purpose" section below to make sure that is what you wish to do. Then, follow the instructions below.

Basically, the entire first paragraph and the "stub" part of the lead would be removed, leaving two very short (and hopefully more succinct) paragraphs describing the page in general and pointing people to where they should go. Any thoughts on the change, discuss below, or feel free to make what changes should be made in the box above. -- MuZemike 18:20, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
