User:Hurricanefan25 returning as Cloudchased

The Ban Appeals Subcommittee has allowed an appeal from User:Hurricanefan25, formerly User:Hurricanefan24. We have allowed him to return as Cloudchased ( talk · contribs), subject to these conditions:

  • You must disclose the Hurricanefan accounts on his user page for one year from the date of our decision.
  • You must abide by Wikipedia's policies and guidelines when editing, and not revert to misconducting yourself in the same way that led to your original block. By way of enforcement of this, if in the opinion of any uninvolved administrator you edit disruptively at any point in the next three months, that administrator is authorised by this subcommittee to indefinitely block you.
  • In addition to the above, the subcommittee reserves the right to rescind this decision at any time in the next three months.

Holdek unblocked

I have unblocked Holdek ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), after discussion with BASC, with the understanding that the original 1-month block was correct and has now been served. I have explained further in the message posted on his talk page a moment ago:

I've done a fair amount of investigation on this case and discussed on the BASC list. In my opinion, the original block (for 1 month) was good and necessary. The increase to indefinite was based primarily on previous IP editting and Toddst1 states that this is sockpuppetry. Looking at the time scales though, Holdek stopped editing in 2008, the particular IP editing was not until 2012. It is not unreasonable that he would come back as an IP. He then returned to this account in 2013 and the IP has not editted since, more than 1 edit. Given the circumstances, I have re-instating the original 1-month block, which has now been served. I am therefore unblocking Holdek. That said, Holdek, you will need to improve your behaviour, as it is likely that the next block will be indefinite and justifiably so. I myself will keep this page watched an will be quite willing to re-instate the block myself.

User:Asgardian unblocked

The committee has, by motion, suspended Asgardian's site-ban on the following terms: -

  • Asgardian is indefinitely topic-banned from Marvel Comics, broadly construed. Violations of this topic ban may be enforced by blocks, initially for up to one month, and then with blocks increasing in duration to a maximum of one year. The third such block shall be indefinite. Appeals of blocks may be made to the imposing administrator, and thereafter to arbitration enforcement, or to the Arbitration Committee.
  • Asgardian may not edit from any Wikipedia account other than "Asgardian", nor edit anonymously, without the express prior permission of an arbitrator or a checkuser.
  • For the period of one year after unblock, if Asgardian edits disruptively at any time (particularly if he is given a legitimate block by an administrator), he will be blocked indefinitely. This would include breaching his single account restriction.

These conditions will be posted to Asgardian's user talk page (at which point he will be unable to remove them for one month, so that they are clearly visible to any editors who view's his talk page during your transition back to contributing). The conditions will also be announced at the " WT:BASC" Wikipedia page, and a link to them will be included in the block/unblock log for the account.
