To address items that need to be dealt with quickly.
Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Pavillion Center Pool is active. I voted keep or merge into the city article. If the merge goes through, have we decided where to best place information like this? Does anyone know enough about this city operated pool and able to expand the article so it gets kept? Vegaswikian 07:33, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
Are we at the point of saying that the categories can be called Las Vegas and not Clark County? I know there has not been much disucsion on this point, but based on the suggested categories this seems to be the direction. Vegaswikian 18:29, 21 August 2005 (UTC)

- I think it makes perfect sense and agree... now I havent done much work with categories, what all would we need to do if we move forward with this proposal? %%

- This just helps make clear how to structure the articles within categories. Right now, make groupings say
Category:Hotels in Las Vegas covers it all. But as someone adds more, by area then we know what parents are needed. Right now, a hotel may be included in
Category:Hotels in Las Vegas and
Category:Winchester, Nevada. At some point, we may want to look at this. I think all that we need right now is to acknowledge the basic structure and then add as things grow and someone feels the need. We could also use this to address issues like, is BC part of the metro area? Before you answer consider the fact that most of the world considers
Hoover Dam to be in Vegas.

- Personally for our uses I feel Boulder should definately be considered part of the scope of the LV metro area, for the project, categories, etc. A key argument for this is that most Las Vegas maps include bc, and another is the local bus has a route that goes out there. But for categorization I agree otherwise.

- In clark county but outside of the metro area there is also Mesquite, Laughlin, Calnevari and possibly a few others that I cant think of off the top of my head, but you get the idea. I will see if I can help organize those a bit more later %% -SYKKO-%% ( talk to me) 14:19, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
