We are a rather small project, so having directors and coordinators seems like overkill. Unless our membership expands greatly, we are just a discussion and article improvement center.
Just like the sounds our instruments produce, many contributors give a short intense burst of activity, some give occasional, almost subliminal but important transients, and a few just keep pounding away. We welcome all.

Get
timpani listed as a good article, then relisted as an featured article.
Verify percussion articles. We currently have very few articles with appropriate amounts of referencing. Sadly, the vast majority of good percussion literature available online is not free (like the
PAS archives and
mammoth Grove encyclopedias.)
If you are able, record some samples for articles and upload them to
Commons.
The following articles still need copyright free pictures. So if any of you percussionists happen to have one lying around at home, please upload a photo to wikimedia and add it to both the article page and
List of percussion instruments.
