Welcome to the second Bugle edition of 2019!
We're off to a great start to 2019, with 10 FAs and 16 A-class articles promoted last month. Three of the new A-class articles were nominated by editors who had not previously developed articles to this status - congratulations to them. Two photos were also promoted to featured status, including the iconic image of Marines raising the US flag over Iwo Jima. The article news section has all the details.
This edition also includes a review essay, in which Nick-D discusses his somewhat disappointing recent visit to the preserved Japanese battleship Mikasa in Yokosuka, Japan. The regular book reviews section includes some recent external reviews.
The results are in on the most prolific Milhist reviewers of 2018, and Nikkimaria took out first place with an incredible 143 reviews! The runners-up were Peacemaker67 with 121 reviews and AustralianRupert with 109 reviews. Thanks to everyone who reviewed Milhist articles in 2018. Our amazing throughput is down to you!
In other news, Parsecboy had another 22-article Good Topic promoted last month, Ironclad warships of the Ottoman Empire, and Peacemaker67 had the existing four-article 1st Army Group (Kingdom of Yugoslavia) Good Topic expanded by a further six articles. Well done to both editors!
Finally, congratulations to Indy beetle on being awarded their first A-Class Medal, we're sure it will be the first of many!
Your editors, Ian Rose ( talk) and Nick-D ( talk)
