PGRE89 is a new account that was adding a primary study to the Tyrosine article. ‎If you check the talk-page this user got angry that the study was removed [1]. On the talk-page in the same discussion two brand new accounts within minutes made supportive statements about the study [2], [3]. I think it is quite obvious all these accounts are the same user. It's been suggested that the other accounts might be students of PGRE89. It is possible but the reason I find this doubtful is the timing. PGRE89 left a comment at 21:27 [4], DRnabuccodonnosor left a comment at 21:35 [5], DonalDhu left a comment at 21:54 [6]. There were no follow up comments from these other accounts. They stopped editing after this. There is also the similarity in writing style including leaving a full stop missing from the end of the sentence. PGRE89 has been blocked for personal attacks so this may now be a non-issue but I do not believe these other accounts were made in good-faith. I believe they were made to create a biased consensus on the talk-page after PGRE89's edits were removed. Psychologist Guy ( talk) 14:19, 26 March 2024 (UTC) reply

  • I think they are more likely to be other people involved in the study or the person's students. If this editor is a doctor/scientist, I think it's more likely that they canvassed for support rather than creating additional accounts. Liz Read! Talk! 07:21, 26 March 2024 (UTC) reply
Looking at the comments made by user PGRE89 on his own talk page and the talk page for Tyrosine, the user has an unusual habit of sometimes omitting the final full stop /period in a statement, especially at the end of a one line comment.
This is also a feature of the single comment made by user DRnabuccodonnosor.
Seems an odd coincidence. Axad12 ( talk) 13:17, 26 March 2024 (UTC) reply
Well, I could be wrong. It's just that if this editor is a professional, I thought it more likely that they would have canvassed (not knowing it was improper) than go to the trouble of creating multiple accounts. But I defer to the experts here. Liz Read! Talk! 21:56, 27 March 2024 (UTC) reply
