Meno25 ( talk · contribs) - I present Meno25, from Alexandria, Egypt, for adminship. Meno25 has been with us since April of 2006 and has amassed nearly 10,000 edits. The user has a single block, for one hour, from 15 November, 2006, due to a communication failure.
The first several months of editing, Meno25 jumped right on in to helping and unfortunately made some good faith mistakes. There were copy and paste moves that had to be fixed at the time, and the user made over 300 unnecessary redirects. I deleted the redirects after a team effort with the user to follow the {{ db-self}} tagging. The user utilized the AutoWikiBrowser without fully realizing its potential for damage in its rapid editing, and the user immediately responded in a graceful manner to such mistakes. Meno25 admittedly wants the bit and has annoyed other users in doing good faith minor edits on a massive scale in the past. These complaints and the block were in November, four and a half months ago and were quickly rectified by the user. Meno25 knows Wikipedia policy now, and the user should have been able to clean up mistakes without assistance.
Despite these historical missteps, Meno25 would make good use of the tools. The user is an active archiver across many different talk pages (Mainspace and Wikipedia space) as well as other such maintenance- it would be nice if the buttons were there to take care of any page moves that cannot be completed without the delete function. There are other such instances where I believe that Meno25 could use the tools to the regular cleaning tasks the user does. Meno25 is non-combative, eager to learn/work with other users and is just an all around good hand to have. Meno25 would be a WikiGnome administrator, assisting in backlogs and other sysops functions as they crop up. I do not believe that Meno25 seeks the tools for any other reason. I think it is users like Meno25 who exemplify that adminship is no big deal and should not be treated as such before or after the bit. Admins are janitors, and Meno25 could use the mop and keys with trust. Teke 19:12, 30 March 2007 (UTC) reply
