T52 class

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to T52 (classification). Jo-Jo Eumerus ( talk) 15:40, 23 May 2020 (UTC) reply

The target article mentions an E-52 class, but I don't see anything about a T-52 class either there, on the linked French article, or in an online search. Delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 20:16, 8 May 2020 (UTC) reply

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, CycloneYoris talk! 22:10, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Retarget to T52 (classification). It's a bit of a stretch, but in that article classification and class are used close to interchangably. Class would seem to make sense in this redirect's grammatical construction when referring to the class of athletes rather than the classification of this class itself. J947 [cont] 23:20, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Retarget to T52 (classification). The World Para Athletics organization uses "class" to refer to the different classification levels sometimes. See [1]. Hog Farm ( talk) 02:33, 16 May 2020 (UTC) reply

The disambiguator is connected to the word here; not useful. TheAwesome Hwyh 20:52, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply

  • Delete per nom. There needs to be a space between the title and the disambiguator. CycloneYoris talk! 22:14, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Keep; useless to nominate or delete. Also, this has fair pageviews. J947 [cont] 23:14, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Keep. Is a missing space really THAT implausible of a typo? Or is there something harmful about this redirect I've completely missed? Thegreatluigi ( talk) 23:51, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Keep per K4. It's not ridiculous, it gets some pageviews, and it's rather old. Hog Farm ( talk) 02:35, 16 May 2020 (UTC) reply

The result of the discussion was no consensus. This entire discussion is more costly than either creating or deleting this redirect. signed, Rosguill talk 06:17, 25 May 2020 (UTC) reply

The disambiguator is connected to the word here, which makes it somewhat less useful. TheAwesome Hwyh 20:49, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply

  • Keep, *cough*. J947 [cont] 22:59, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply
    • But if we delete this, Football (soccer) (which is the correctly spaced counterpart) will still appear on the search bar, so readers will still get redirected where they want to go regardless of deletion. CycloneYoris talk! 23:53, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply
      • Yeah, readers will still get redirected where they want to go regardless of deletion a large amount of time but in the end deleting this just unnecessarily slows down the process of finding the wanted page. Why do that? J947 [cont] 05:11, 16 May 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Keep Plausible typo and redirects are cheap. Walter Görlitz ( talk) 04:48, 16 May 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Delete as useless clutter. @ J947: Why support creating useless and costly clutters like this? -- Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 07:23, 16 May 2020 (UTC) reply
    • @ Soumya-8974: I don't support creating this, but at the same time I don't see what will be gained by deleting this. Why is this redirect costly? J947 [cont] 18:53, 16 May 2020 (UTC) reply

Retarget to Taichō. This redirect was created by a bot as a diacriticless variant of “Tåîchô”. “Tåîchô” is mojibake for “Tłı̨chǫ”. [1] Since “Taicho” is two steps removed from “Tłı̨chǫ” but a plausible Anglicization of “Taichō”, it should be retargeted to the latter. Gorobay ( talk) 16:15, 15 May 2020 (UTC) reply
