- To clarify, birth is our article on mammalian delivery, while childbirth is specifically about human delivery. Various dictionary definitions for parturition online:
- Merriam Webster: "the action or process of giving birth to offspring"
- Dictionary.com: "the process of bringing forth young"
- Wiktionary: "The act of giving birth; childbirth"
- None of these seem to specify human birth, so it seems to me the redirects should target birth. Ivanvector ( Talk/ Edits) 18:33, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
- The OED suggests childbirth (in fact, its definition of "childbirth" is "The process of giving birth to a child; parturition."). While I agree that parturition doesn't necessitate human (OED agrees with this), I think this is more a sign of our distinction between birth/childbirth being unnatural than parturition more referring to the general concept. - Comment Hutanari Should be a disambiguation page, as it is also the Kunrei-shiki spelling variant for Futanari. User:AvicBot had replaced my redirect. WhisperToMe ( talk) 21:14, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hutanari and Futas are both a consequence of a single instance of vandalism back in 2012. They should be reverted to point to their original location, since they have nothing to do with Futurama.
