Turn R on E 173rd St. Walk 1 block NNW on E 173rd St. Turn L on Crotona Park E. Walk 2 blocks W on Crotona Park E. Turn R on Charlotte St. Follow attached map or walk NNW on Charlotte St. half a block into the park. "Barbecue/ Picnic Area 2" will be ahead of you, bordered by an oval walkway. Bear left on the walkway (clockwise around the oval) and walk another half a block to the clump of trees on the SW portion of that oval, nearest the Carter Playground. Look for geeks with laptops.

Take the Bx11 bus to Boston Rd just past (ENE of) Louis Nine Blvd. Walk ENE 0.7 blocks to the next street, Charlotte St. Turn left on Charlotte St. Walk NNW on Charlotte St. 1.5 blocks, passing Crotona Park E (crosswalk is on the right), half a block into the park. Follow attached map. "Barbecue/ Picnic Area 2" will be ahead of you, bordered by an oval walkway. Bear left on the walkway (clockwise around the oval) and walk another half a block to the clump of trees on the SW portion of that oval, nearest the Carter Playground. Look for geeks with laptops. Alternatively to the Bx11 bus route, take the Bx17 bus to Crotona Ave just before (N of) Claremont Pkwy. Walk in a general ENE direction to the area mentioned above. Alternatively via the B subway line, the Bx11 bus intersects it at E 170th St. and Grand Concourse.
