Women’s Suffrage Centennial Wikipedia Editing Workshop
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in the United States, as well as suffrage efforts in Virginia, at the Virtual Women’s Suffrage Centennial Wikipedia Editing Workshop.
With the help of experienced Wikipedians, attendees will learn to edit Wikipedia and improve or create Wikipedia articles related to the women’s suffrage movement in the U.S. and Virginia, all from the comfort of your own home. No editing experience is necessary.
This event is hosted by Alexandria Library and Wikimedia DC.
Wikimedia chapters are independent organizations founded to support and promote the Wikimedia projects in a specified geographical region (in most cases, a country). Like the Wikimedia Foundation, they aim to "empower and engage people around the world to collect and develop educational content under a free license or in the public domain, and to disseminate it effectively and globally". There are currently 39 chapters, with at least one on every inhabited continent., i.e.

Thematic organizations are incorporated independent non-profits representing the Wikimedia movement and supporting work focused on a specific theme, topic, subject or issue within or across countries and regions. i.e.,
Wikimedia Medicine.
Wikimedia user groups are intended to be simple and flexible affiliates that are an alternative to chapters and thematic organizations - which require more formal requirements. User groups are highly valued as equal players in the Wikimedia movement, i.e.,

I made this article. It's just a stub but it's better than nothing. Her daughter Elizabeth Otey was also quite an interesting woman so I may try to work on that next but off-wiki work is going to get in the way for the next few days.

partial suffrage, which is referred to several places on Wikipedia. One meaning is that American women could sometimes vote on issues but not candidates, and if so they had partial suffrage. It may have more meanings.
