Spanish shawl

Spanish shawl
Spanish shawl - with tail (not a FP candidate)

This is a picture of a Spanish shawl used in the Nudibranch article. It illustrates three important features about the nudibranch's anatomy: The tentacles, the external gills on the back and the bright colors.

  • Support. A bit blurry, but it's underwater, and the colors more than make up for that. — 0918 BRIAN • 2006-03-13 03:00
  • Support. Vibrant colour and clear enough for underwater in a canyon.-- Dakota ~ ° 05:48, 13 March 2006 (UTC) reply
  • Support. Wow! What colors! Pity the yellow background is a bit distracting, though. -- Janke | Talk 07:02, 13 March 2006 (UTC) reply

Maybe it is possible to selectively fade the yellow region by Photoshop? Or of course I should have asked it to pose in front of a neutral background... :-) Kjaergaard 09:12, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
  • Support. Great shot. Nudibranchs are neat. -- Dante Alighieri | Talk 21:20, 13 March 2006 (UTC) reply

      • Support. Actually, nevermind. The image isn't an FPC candidate for illustrating this specific nudibranch, but specific portions of the nudibranch anatomy... which this image does well, despite the incomplete animal. -- Dante Alighieri | Talk 20:38, 16 March 2006 (UTC) reply

  • Support but... Did anyone else notice that this thing's tail is cut off? :) — Pengo 11:32, 16 March 2006 (UTC) reply
    • Actually it's not, but it is partially obscured, which I intially did not notice. Changing my vote above. -- Dante Alighieri | Talk 20:35, 16 March 2006 (UTC) reply
      • I have a different one with the entire nudibranch, but I like the other one better. Kjaergaard 00:26, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
