Let's ask
Andrybak why he created the target category last year, as the distinction is not clear. If merged, it should be a manual merge, placing the target into the current parent
Category:Chembox documentation. If not merged, rename to
Category:Chembox validation per the project page name. –
FayenaticLondon 12:57, 8 August 2023 (UTC)reply
As long as users of the chemistry templates approve, I support consolidation of these maintenance categories. —

Nominator's rationale: Switch Mobility is a bus manufacturer that only makes buses. As this is currently a "vehicles" category, it has to be in "Vehicles by brand" which makes this category more difficult to find. Therefore, I propose renaming to "buses", so it can also go in the "Buses by manufacturer" category, which more people will be looking for this category in. --

@
Marcocapelle How about splitting the category into subsections instead. Like one for the actual oceans, one for seas, etc. 8

Splitting between oceans and seas is also a possibility.

Marcocapelle Well, not by splitting, but redirecting the categories into subsections 8
foo.
bar(

That sounds like splitting. Subsections in categories do not exist.
Marcocapelle (
talk) 05:54, 9 August 2023 (UTC)reply
Ah ok. But keeping a parent category for just two subcategories would not make sense. The two categories can also refer to each other by means of a "see also" note.

Marcocapelle Good point, but other people can create more categories for lakes, rivers, estuaries, etc. 8

Alt rename per
Marcocapelle, matching the contents better, as "bodies of water" extends to lakes etc. –

Isn't the definition specifically for Earth only? foobarbaz 22:43, 9 August 2023 (UTC)reply
Some planets are conjectured to be covered entirely in water.
GJ 1214 b is a likely candidate. –

Am I allowed to change the target destination? foobarbaz 01:25, 10 August 2023 (UTC)reply
Who said anything about surface? There may be a subsurface ocean (of water no less) on Saturn's moon
Enceladus and on Jupiter's moon
Europa.

Nominator's rationale: The category is only for video games about marbles, so calling it "Marble video games" is more accurate and stops potential confusion with any games played with actual, physical, marbles.

The Association for Symbolic Logic hosts an annual lecture series called the
Gödel Lecture and this category groups mathematicians who gave it. These speakers also receive an award for coming but this performance isn't treated as defining in the biography articles, generally getting mentioned in passing with other honours. The category contents are already listed
right here in the main article for any reader interested in the topic. -

Delete, not a defining characteristic. It unnecessarily increases category clutter in the articles while especially biographies often contain so many category tags already.
