Nominator's rationale: Not meaningfully different from Category:Wikipedians who play video games, which was deleted per Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/User/Archive/April 2007#Category:Wikipedians who play video games. * Pppery * it has begun... 14:38, 12 April 2021 (UTC) reply

Taiwan under Republic of China rule

Nominator's rationale: This period is significant for the sole sub-cat Category:Treaties of the Republic of China (1949–1971) but has no other contents. It should therefore be upmerged. The target category Category:Taiwan under Republic of China rule is already a sub-cat of the other current parent categories Category:Republic of China, Category:Taiwan. – Fayenatic London 12:31, 12 April 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Merge -- We established several years ago that the post-1949 Republic of China should be called Taiwan in WP. The subcat should be Category:Treaties of Taiwan. Nothing fundamentally changed with the state in 1971, except that it lost is UN seat and US recognition in favour of PRC. Peterkingiron ( talk) 10:30, 18 April 2021 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Since the main article has been renamed from 2020–2021 United States racial unrest to 2020–21 United States racial unrest, I suggest the category should go the same way. Love of Corey ( talk) 04:55, 12 April 2021 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEFINING ( WP:PERFCAT, WP:OVERLAPCAT, and WP:OCAWARD)
When high ranking foreign people meet with the Croatia, the Grand Order of Queen Jelena is given out as a souvenir. Mother Teresa, Helmut Kohl, and Madeleine Albright are not remotely defined by this award. (There are a handful of Croatian recipients but most are Prime Ministers who are already well categorized under Category:Prime Ministers of Croatia.) All the category contents are now listified right here in the main article for any reader interested in the topic. - RevelationDirect ( talk) 00:32, 12 April 2021 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: WP:NONDEFINING ( WP:OVERLAPCAT and WP:OCAWARD)
The Royal Order of the Crown of Hawaii was given by the Hawaiian royal family, and half of these articles are themselves Hawaiian royalty who are already well categorized somewhere under Category:Hawaiian royalty. A large majority of the articles don't even mention the award including all four "Good Articles": 1, 2, 3, 4. There's not a current list but there's also not a main article so I shoehorned the current category contents into a collapsible list right here in the Orders, decorations, and medals of Hawaii article. - RevelationDirect ( talk) 00:32, 12 April 2021 (UTC) reply
