Nominator's rationale: There is only one entry, and the category is unlikely to be populated further. Category:Harry Potter game series provides a sufficient degree of categorisation. Super Mario Man ( talk ) 20:53, 21 June 2014 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Requires identification of killed as Tyrants, which breaches WP:NPOV for all but early-to-mid Classical Greece. Recent additions provide examples: do we accept Brutus's Sic semper tyrannis and reject John Wilkes Booth's? Is Hamlet a tyrannicide or a murderer or both? These are live issues even if the so-called tyrants are dead - were the killers of Indira Gandhi tyrannicides, or the executioners of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto - and such categorisations will give us nothing but another way for editors to fight. NebY ( talk) 19:25, 21 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • delete too subjective as a category. Should just merge to the appropriate assassinations categories.-- Obi-Wan Kenobi ( talk) 20:54, 21 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Undecided I too considered adding Indira Gandhi but thought better of it as she is a very divisive figure. As such, I thought the description given would lay ease to people's minds as the only individuals in the category prior to its adjustment were indisputably bloodthirsty tyrants and post adjustment, killers of indisputably bloodthirsty tyrants. Nevertheless, it's an imaginatively stimulating category which serves both to categorise and characterise individuals in both history and fiction and by extent inform the reader. I defer to the judgement of the council. -- Morgenstern91 ( talk) 01:39, 22 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Delete - It feels like we've been through this before... If applying a category involves any question ("Was Caesar a tyrant?" or "Is Batman a chemist?"), it is clearly not a defining characteristic and an inappropriate addition. This category will always require such a judgement call for each case. Categories are meant to connect subjects by defining characteristics, not be "imaginatively stimulating". - SummerPhD ( talk) 04:37, 22 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Delete -- There is a POV issue as to who is a tyrant. I expect that we have a NPOV category for assassins of political leaders, which the contents could be merged back to. Some of the greatest tyrants died of natural causes, not by being murdered. Peterkingiron ( talk) 15:42, 22 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Delete It is near impossible to objectively define someone as a tyrant, thus making this category unhelpful. SFB 20:27, 22 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Delete as subjective. We have deleted this before by consensus, in 2009, so it can also be deleted as re-created material that was previously deleted. Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:43, 23 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Delete Because we will not get enough articles on people who did this in Classical Greece to be worth keeping. John Pack Lambert ( talk) 16:44, 2 July 2014 (UTC) reply
Additonally, the mixing of real and fictional people in one category is a very bad idea. John Pack Lambert ( talk) 16:45, 2 July 2014 (UTC) reply

The result of the discussion was: keep as container category only. Category:LGBT in Africa exists with a reasonable level of other sub-cats, so this serves a purpose for navigation. – Fayenatic L ondon 08:26, 20 July 2014 (UTC) reply
Nominator's rationale: Doesn't conform with the other categories of the same kind here. LGBT people from Africa is the only continental Category present for the topic. Delete and probably merge into their individual countries. Jamie Tubers ( talk) 19:00, 21 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • keep since we have more than enough to create continental containers for other continents. Mark as a container though - individuals should not in this.-- Obi-Wan Kenobi ( talk) 20:21, 21 June 2014 (UTC) reply
Comment are you ready to create it? if not, then this should be deleted and it can be created back when there's need for continental categories (which I don't think is ever needed). This category being under "LGBT people by nationality" makes it seem like there's someone somewhere who is still infected with the delusion that Africa is a country. It's just inappropriate.-- Jamie Tubers ( talk) 02:46, 22 June 2014 (UTC) reply
I can see your point; we could perhaps rename the parent to be "country or region"; in practice we often will find continental categories underneath "by country" classifications, this is fixable in a number of ways and doesn't mitigate against the existence of the category. Another reason for this category is that gay rights in Africa are rather different than elsewhere in the world, and there is scholarship around the subject of such in Africa as a continent, even if things differ from country to country there are still thematic linkages that can be drawn.-- Obi-Wan Kenobi ( talk) 02:36, 24 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • If kept, tag as containeer only category. Peterkingiron ( talk) 15:43, 22 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Keep as navigational aid only – this should be a container category, as individually the continent of birth is not a defining feature of someone's being LGBT. SFB 20:29, 22 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Delete We break this type of things out by country, not continent. Uganda is not South Africa, especially not in this matter. John Pack Lambert ( talk) 16:45, 2 July 2014 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: A category about a non-notable genre which doesn't have a Wikipedia article. Λeternus (talk) 15:53, 21 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Delete As indicated, jazz metal article does not exist on Wikipedia, yet. Any entries in the category may be labeled as a jazz fusion ensemble, if relevant. Myxomatosis57 ( talk) 16:02, 21 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Keep There are several notable examples of groups fusing jazz and metal. ProgGuy ( talk) 19:19, 22 June 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Delete Most of the few bands that could possibly fit in year would be better described by other genres (and many of them would probably be mislabeled. Atheist hardly has any jazz for example, but people overstate the jazz influence.). Not everything needs to be it's own metal subgenre. Soon we'll have ska metal, country metal, reggae metal and dubstep metal. Keep in mind that much more widely used terms like brutal death metal have no articles of their own.
