WP:GEOLAND, which says [e]ven abandoned places can be notable, because notability encompasses their entire history. Google Books has numerous sources which attest to a populated port village on the River Dee called Dawpool:

Comment agree that the former settlement is historically notable, however the area is now known as Thurstaston, so I thought according to
WP:MODERNPLACENAME the redirect would be appropriate. See
Overchurch for similar.
