Please don't be discouraged by our mess; this task force will be under construction until the start of the Fall semester. Do add yourself to our list of members
This list seeks to group casebooks into the recognizable categories of course title & year. Please propose potentially confusing changes at the talk page.
I think we might eventually settle for broader categories, e.g. "corporate classes," "1L classes," "constitutional classes", "intellectual property," "international law," "litigation," etc.
"Shepardize" individual cases on Lexis Nexis, for heavily-footnoted treatises and law review articles. Paraphrase, don't infringe.
Young caselaw articles should, at bare minimum, consist of case briefs.
WP:SCOTUS employs the following
article outline, and we should not diverge from it without their consensus. (In the long run, WP:LAW should have a "manual of style task force"/"Wikibluebook task force", whose members determine the standards for article layout, citation usage, template usage, etc. for all law-related content.)

Since few of our articles are of broad public interest, I currently feel (July 28 2009) that we should be aiming to bring articles up to "Good Article" status. Once we establish a consensus on the discussion page, we'll revise this text to be more objective.
